Mistakes to Avoid When Traveling Alone

When you travel alone, it is a beautiful experience that will cause you to grow in many areas. However, there is a right and wrong way to do it. Making the best of your solo trip takes a little thought and a few precautions. When you do this, you will create a positive and memorable vacation that you will be happy to remember forever. Here are some mistakes that are commonly made by solo travelers - ones that you will want to be careful to avoid. Not Preparing Sufficiently Beforehand Possibly the worst mistake you could make when traveling solo is not doing enough to prepare before going on your trip. Try to think of every detail of your upcoming trip. Think about things that could go wrong, and what you would do in those situations. Bring a first-aid kit with you on your vacation, and book accommodations beforehand instead of showing up without knowing where you will sleep that night. Arriving Late at Night More often than not, people seem more concerned about whether they will fly at a comfortable time of day, than booking their flight to arrive early in the day. When possible, choose to fly through the night and arrive in the day, instead of flying through the day and arriving at night. By arriving while the sun is still out, it will give you time to get familiar with your surroundings before night arrives and everything shuts down. Getting Intoxicated It is fine to have a drink or two when on vacation, but when you are traveling alone you need to be vigilant about not drinking too much. Being alone puts you in a slightly more vulnerable position than someone who is traveling with a companion. For this reason, know your limits and stop drinking before putting yourself in a potentially precarious situation. Being More Concerned about Others Feelings Than Your Own Safety Traveling solo is not the time to try to be polite at all costs. Even if standing up for yourself is difficult for you, make it a point to become more assertive while you are on your trip. If someone or a certain situation makes you feel uncomfortable, leave or find help. Don t be afraid to reject the advances of unwanted attention. Put yourself and your safety before the feelings of others. Not Knowing the Culture One of the biggest mistakes people make when traveling alone is not studying or at least becoming familiar with the culture and customs of the country they are visiting. When you plan to take a holiday to any country, remember that you are the visitor. You are responsible for making any necessary changes to your behavior, not the people in the country you are visiting. Learn about all the big and small details that will help you to get along well with those whose country you are temporarily residing in. It will help you feel less awkward, and potentially keep you out of trouble as well. Traveling solo is a great experience, and by avoiding these common mistakes, you can make your holiday less likely to contain unnecessary drama. Many people have made these mistakes in the past and learned the hard way. Save yourself the trouble, and remember these tips.

Preparing for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse

The next total solar eclipse is just two months away. It's going to occur on April 8th, 2024 and I know from the last one in 2017 that it's never too early to start preparing. So this is the first video in a new series on the channel where I'm going to be showing you everything you need to do to prepare for the 2024 eclipse and any other future total solar eclipses. There's a lot that we can actually learn and plan for well ahead of time and actually if you do leave it to the last minute there's a lot that can go wrong! So in this first part today I'm gonna share some lessons I learned from the 2017 Eclipse. I'm going to give an overview of what to expect with the 2024 eclipse in the U.S and Mexico and Canada in terms of its path and the weather forecast and all that. And then I'll let you know what I think you should be doing right now nine months ahead in terms of preparation. And at the end I'll give you a preview of all the topics I plan to cover in future videos in this series leading up to April 8th 2024. Hi for anyone that's new to this channel my name is Nico Carver and I cover astrophotography and photographing a solar eclipse a total solar eclipse is a very specialized kind of astrophotography because these events are relatively rare and when they do come along they're short they're just a few minutes long my first experience with one was the 2017 total solar eclipse that went across the United States from Oregon to South Carolina and people are not exaggerating when they tell you this is one of the most breathtaking astronomical events you can witness so if at all possible I'd encourage you to see a total solar eclipse in person at some point in your life make it a plan and for us in North America this one in April on April 8 2024 is going to be our best total solar eclipse opportunity for a very long time and you might be wondering so why did I trust you what's so special about this kind of eclipse versus any of the other ones well during totality for a few minutes the moon completely covers up the Sun from our vantage point on Earth meaning you're completely under the darkest part of the moon's Shadow called the Umbra and this Shadow is so extreme that it's very quickly going to turn from broad daylight into Twilight it will actually get dark enough that you can observe some stars during the day and then most important it's the only time you can look at the sun naked eye you can just stare at that sun because it's covered by the Moon and what is revealed is the sun's outer atmosphere called its Corona and the corona is constantly changing shape so each total solar eclipse is a unique event because the solar Corona is going to look different each time now to see that though and to actually be able to view the eclipse naked eye during totality photograph the solar Corona all of that you have to be inside the path of totality within the Umbra so if you're outside of it you're going to still see a partial eclipse but you'll have to use solar filtration solar filters or solar glasses the whole time well if you're inside the path you get all of those partial phases on both ends where we use the filters but then in the middle we get totality and the closer you are to the center line of the path of totality the longer totality is going to last and this 2024 Eclipse it's going to be a bit over four and a half minutes at Max Eclipse well with the 2017 event it was just two and a half minutes so this is a really good one okay so what did I learn from photographing the 2017 solar eclipse the biggest thing I learned is you cannot have enough backup plans when it comes to location my primary location was like a solar party for this event in Missouri and it was predicted to be a complete washout with thunderstorms predicted and unfortunately my backup location in Nebraska had the exact same forecast I think it was a big storm so um I ended up pretty last minute finding some extended family in Nashville Tennessee that I could drive to their yard the morning of get set up very quickly it was sort of a rush and even Nashville was dicey because when it came to clouds there was there were some scattered clouds I hear that some people actually got clouded out who were in the Nashville area I was very lucky because just minutes before totality there was some big patchy clouds blocking the Sun and you can actually see it in this screen capture from a 360 degree video I was recording and then writer's totality is starting you can see it actually made for a pretty dramatic photo with all these clouds around and there was a little Gap where the eclipse was happening but once totality really started you can see the clouds did interfere with a clear photo of the corona that was until the final 45 seconds of totality where the clouds finally passed along and I did get some clear shots of the corona which I was very happy about and the whole thing was actually great my favorite shot is actually this one of the diamond ring at second contact with the clouds all around so even if you end up somewhere that's partially cloudy you may still have a great Eclipse day the real worry is being completely cluttered out you know overcast sky or rain or anything like that and my advice for avoiding that is having a vehicle and being prepared to move based on what you're seeing with local weather forecasts in the 48 Hours leading up to the event if you want to set yourself up for having the best shot of clear skies in 2024 I'd recommend having your primary and backup locations being down in the southern part of the United States or even Mexico I've booked a campsite in Texas right on the center line to be my home base my primary location but I'm right now in the process of planning out four to five different spots that I could travel to within a few hours from there in every direction so if I need to I can chase the weather and Chase those clear guys now the reason I say Your Best Shot is in the south is even though this eclipse is going to go through New Hampshire where I live right now it's something like 90 percent cloudy historically on April 8th while in Texas it's more like 50 percent cloudy uh during April and in Mexico it actually drops even to under 50 percent and this information by the way is coming from Jay Anderson's eclipsofile.com which is a great resource I'll link it in the description now in terms of travel plans you might be too late to book a hotel at least at a reasonable rate along the path of the eclipse you may get lucky and find something but if you don't mind camping there is still plenty of sites available at reasonable rates and as far as finding camping sites I got a tip from Brian Fulda who goes by absorbing photons here on YouTube and on Instagram that there's a website called hipcamp.com that has an interactive Eclipse map that lets you see available campsites within the path of totality and book them really easily now there are two more things I'd like to say about this about booking locations number one don't delay if you're going to travel for the eclipse spend some time today thinking about your plan and then go ahead and make a booking or reach out to a relative who is near the path because I think pretty soon most of the remaining good deals in terms of booking a campsite or an Airbnb or anything like that are going to be gone and then number two even if you have the money I'm going to ask you not to make multiple reservations for lodging or camping and believe me I get the impulse but it just means that you're keeping someone else from making a solid plan today by holding multiple spots so even if you plan to cancel those later I'd really ask you just to make one reservation and what I'd suggest instead instead of booking multiple places is just book one lodging or campsite that's in a good location where you can travel to all of your backup locations the day of um and and then you still have a dedicated place to sleep but you also have all these backups of places you can go like parks and events and things like that okay so that's the first thing you should be doing now is if you're going to travel for this book your lodging or campsite or talk to family or friends so you can stay with do that today the second thing I want you to do right now is purchase a white light filter or filter making material for any telescopes or camera lenses or binoculars that you plan to use for Imaging or viewing the eclipse and the reason to do this now is my memory of the 2017 Eclipse was eclipse glasses were pretty easy to get up to about two weeks out but filters especially this Astro solar film became very difficult to find the closer we got to the event I think it's sold out months in advance um so there are many good options for white light filters but I recommend this Astro solar film because it's very affordable and it works in both for both solar observation and solar photography at high magnification and again so the point of this is we need these white light filters for the whole partial phase but then when totality starts we want to take off our filters very quickly so it's very nice to have these custom filters that fit the Optics exactly because then that makes them easy to take off and on and in the next video in the series I'll walk through making custom filters with this film but in the meantime what I suggest you do is buy enough film for all the telescopes and lenses and binoculars you plan to use for the eclipse and if you have friends who also want to make filters you can buy a bigger sheet or even a roll of this stuff and cut it up and it becomes even more economical that way this is the smallest size I think they make but it still would work for a like a 120 millimeter refractor next time in this series I'm going to go over equipment for photographing the total solar eclipse and review different kinds of setups from simple to more complex and also cover field of view what I think are the best focal length and sensor size combinations and then like I said I'll go over making custom filters with this film in future episodes after that I'll plan on covering uh fun experiments that you can do during totality how to get involved with like citizen science projects all that kind of stuff I'll also cover automation software for controlling your camera and taking all the different pictures you want to take I'll probably devote a video to each of the main options in terms of Automation and then of course I'll cover the different kinds of images you can capture how to come up with a capture plan for them depending on you know what kind of equipment you're using and I might even do some videos on processing before the event so you can get some practice in ahead of time and feel like you know what you're doing once you actually have the pictures if there's anything I'm forgetting please let me know in the comments I'll add it to my list I of course hope that everyone watching is able to capture this beautiful event but once you do then what do you actually do with your finished photos well something I definitely advocate for is to have your own website where you can present the photos exactly as you wish and today's sponsor Squarespace makes that super easy they have flexible website templates and there is a template for every use case and they're flexible in the sense that you can design them however you wish quite easily with their drag and drop engine but the key thing is everything stays optimized for mobile and for desktop and it's very easy to see what that's going to look like as you're designing your website I've also found Squarespace takes the hassle out of managing a website for instance the contact form is completely spam free I don't know how they do it but every time I try to design an anti-spam contact for myself I still get tons of spam emails but with Squarespace it just works I I get the emails I need from actual customers and fans and no spam and this is just one example of a ton of included features with Squarespace like you get all the Commerce features if you need an online store that's all built in so if you're looking for a personal website or a professional portfolio or a site for your small business I think you're going to love Squarespace you can get a free trial today at squarespace.com and when you're ready to launch use squarespace.com nebula photos for 10 off your first purchase of a website or domain okay that's it for this one this has been Nico Carver at nebula How to create completely undetectable AI content with this amazing tool

Google will have no clue if it's written by an AI and neither were humans. Want proof? An AI content piece pulled a 100% guaranteed AI score before I worked my magic on it. Then after I used just one of the techniques I'll show you in this video, we now have 100% original. Okay, cool, so I can pass AI detection tools. So what? How does that translate into anything useful? Well, when you can produce high quality undetectable AI articles, you can generate enormous amounts of content like it's no one's business, which is gonna sprout a massive traffic for your website so you can then start printing money like Papa Powell. Now, there's multiple ways that people claim they can beat AI detection tools, such as rewriting the content with QuillBot, the emoji trick, and quite a few more. I'm gonna test each of them out to see which ones work. But first, let's generate some AI content and plug it into each of the detection tools Generate AI Content so we can get a baseline. To avoid ChatGPT lag time and usage blackouts, which have been rampant as of late, I'm gonna use OpenAI's playground to generate my test content. Here's my prompt and thank me later if you're an '80s fan. Write me an article on "My Big Trouble in Little China" is a better movie than "Top Gun." Bam, here's the content. Now let's go on over to Originality.ai to see if it busts me red-handed for using AI. This is a paid tool so let's hope it diagnoses it correctly. You plop in the content here, let it run, and here we go. Originality says there's a 98% chance of being AI content. Good for you, Originality. Now let's toss it into aicheatsheet.com, one of the free tools. As expected, 100% certain the text was written by AI. And lastly, let's test out OpenAI's own detection tool, AI Text Classifier. Okay, then the classifier considers the text to be very unlikely AI generated. Pretty sus that OpenAI's own tool misses the mark, but noted. So here's where we stand. Article one is 98% likely to be AI on Originality, 100% AI on Cheat Sheet, and unlikely on OpenAI's own tool. Let's keep going and create a few more test cases. Keeping up with the retro theme, OpenAI, write me an article on why rollerblading is dead. 4% chance it was AI according to Originality, 100% on AI Cheat Sheet, and unclear according to OpenAI. So putting all these results together so far, we're starting to see some inconsistency at least with the first tool. OpenAI's tool is still lost AF. Before we start tricking these tools, let's generate one more test case. Write me an article on proper form for bench press. AI, do you even lift, bro? Apparently it does, and here's the content. So this time, we have Originality with 99% AI, AI Cheat Sheet with 1%, and OpenAI itself still confused. Here's our baseline. Ultimately, both Originality and AI Cheat Sheet are inconsistent, and OpenAI's tool can probably just be ignored. Let's start to do some magic tricks to see if I can improve these scores. But first, make sure to sign up for my free SEO training masterclass by using the link in the pinned comment. It goes over all the magic I'm doing today to get sites to the top of Google. Now, back to the show. The first AI undetection technique, is that even a word? Anyways, the first technique I'm gonna use is QuillBot for rewriting your content. You do this by going to QuillBot, dropping in your content, and then hitting paraphrase. Once I put in the '80s movie AI text, we get this new content on the right. Let's just copy this new text and paste it back into Originality. Well, well, well, Originality said it was 98% fake before, now it's 95% real, that was easy. Now let's drop into AI Cheat Sheet, 100% AI content before, and now it's 59% chance of its human written, or in other words, 41% chance of it's AI. Then we have OpenAI itself with possibly AI generated. That's actually an improvement for the tool from their previous unlikely classification. Bringing the same QuillBot process over for the two other test cases, we end up with the following results, which are interesting. If the articles were previously super detectable by the tools, then QuillBot is for sure gonna improve it. But if they were already passing with flying colors, QuillBot will likely make it worse, which is expected. If it's not broken, don't try to fix it. QuillBot requires a paid account if you input any significant amount of characters. So let's move over to testing some of the free techniques. The following few are all under the umbrella Free Techniques of telling the AI not to write like an AI, starting with perplexity and burstiness. What? - There's this post on Medium where the author shared the following prompt to pre-train your AI before it starts word vomiting. Hey ChatGPT, regarding generating writing content, two factors are crucial to be in the highest degree, perplexity and burstiness. Perplexity measures the complexity of the text. Separately, burstiness compares the variations of sentences. Humans tend to write with greater burstiness, for example, with some longer or more complex sentences alongside shorter ones. AI sentences tend to be more uniform. Therefore, generated text content must have the highest degree of perplexity and the highest degree of burstiness. The other two factors are that writing should be maximum contextually relevant and maximum coherent. Take this word block, drop it into your AI tool, and then ask it to create a content. Based on the above, write me an article on why "Big Trouble in Little China" is a better movie than "Top Gun." Originally says it's 78% AI, which is an improvement from the 98% before, AI Cheat Sheet went from 100% AI to only 11% AI, and OpenAI itself went from possibly to likely. Adding in the results for the other two test cases, we end up with a table like this. I'd say that this perplexity prompt is pretty damn inconsistent. It did decently for the first test case but bummed ass on the second two, skip. By the way, if you're curious as to why we even care in the first place about passing AI detection software, first off, yes, it's very important, and I'll dig into why after I finish up these tests. Next, we have another pre-training prompt that tells the tool how to write like a human. Write as Human Try to sound like a human writer, writing for a blog, writing in the first person giving advice. Try to sound unique and write in an unpredictable fashion that doesn't sound like GPT3. Here's how it performed. For test cases one and two, it screwed the pooch, but for the bench press content, it did really well. How about if we asked the AI itself how to write undetectable AI content? What are the key attributes of conversational content that is undetectable as being written by an AI. OpenAI tells you that this content would include human-like grammar, punctuation, and spelling that would look human, context-based content creation, and so forth. And then you ask it to generate your content. Now we're talking. Based on all the simple pre-training exercises we've used so far, asking the AI directly how to pass detectors gives the most consistent result. What if we ask the almighty AI how to fix content that's already written? Let it first write your content in vanilla mode. Then you ask it to rewrite the above content so that it is not detected as AI content by AI content writers, and here's a result. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. This is our best performing technique so far, simply asking the AI to rewrite itself for passability results and great scores for all the tools. - Whoa. - Thank you to Affiliate Lab member in Chiang Mai buddy, Chris Manak, for that tip. Next, if you haven't already seen my case study where I broke 50K traffic with a pure AI site, make sure to check it out after you finish here. Link in the description. In that video, I mentioned that I've been using a beta version of Surfer's upcoming AI tool that will generate AI content on the fly that's actually SEO-optimized. It looks at the top ranking articles to determine how to create the article outline, how long to write the content, and what entities and critical keywords need to be in your content, and at what frequencies. It actually does a lot more than that but let's see how detectable it is. Bear in mind, the Surfer tool generates full articles and longer content has a much higher chance of detectability, so here goes nothing. The Big Trouble article hit 28% AI on Originality, AI Cheat Sheet guarantees it was a human who wrote it, and the OpenAI tool choked up on it probably because it's too long. - That's what she said. (chuckles) - Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new champion. The Surfer content bamboozled these detection tools better than any other technique so far. Now there's something I wanna mention. I gotta admit that was more than a bit nervous putting the Surfer tool to the test, not only because I'm an investor, but because I'm putting this content on my freaking websites. So seeing these results was a huge relief. And if anyone would like to verify that I'm not making these numbers up, I'm happy to share the content with you so you can run the tools yourself. If you're interested in applying for the Surfer AI beta test, use the link of the description. The next technique we have is a fun one Emoji & Comma Tricks and that's the emoji trick. You ask it to generate your content but insert an emoji after each word. And then when it's done, you ask it to remove the emojis. While the emoji trick did perform super well in the bench press article, it definitely fell short in the other two. In my opinion, this isn't consistent enough, so let's call this myth busted. Next, the comma trick. Write me an article on proper form for bench press, but remove as many commas as possible. The comma technique seemed to work on Originality and OpenAI's detector in a test case or two, but it's definitely not consistent enough to add to your process. Now we're about to get into why this all matters, but let's take a look at the final results. The winners are clear. Surfer's AI performs the best, followed by the rewrite the content technique, and then good old, you tell me how to write human-like content. Google has gone back and forth on their stance on whether or not AI content is against their guidelines or not. In April of last year, they were like, "Nah bro, AI is fully against our guidelines. Specifically if you're using machine learning tools to generate your content, it's essentially the same as if you're just shuffling words around or looking up synonyms or doing the translation tricks that people used to do. And that doing that is still automatically generated content, that means for us, it's still against the webmaster guidelines." But then in February, they released an official statement in Google Search Central and said they'd reward high quality content however it's produced, okay, but that's not surprising. They have to take the stance 'cause they're clearly gonna be using AI themselves in their search results to compete with Bing's ChatGPT integration. And Denny Sullivan clarified this with quote, "Content written primarily for search engines rather than humans is the issue. If someone fires up 100 humans to write content just to rank or fires up a spinner or AI, same issue." Sure, I agree that the ultimate goal Why This All Matters would be to create content that humans would enjoy and encourages them to do what you would want them to do on your website, namely generate you money through ads or conversions. But ultimately, as a search engine professional, I'm obviously producing this content so it performs well in Google or any other search engine for that matter. But there seems to be an unclear line that you're not supposed to cross. In the Affiliate Lab, we have a private mastermind group with the top performers who have sold businesses for six figures or more. One of the members, Dave Gibbons, has a theory which I gravitate to the most. "Google will treat it just like it does with plagiarism or duplicate content. AI will be allowed but it will be deemed a lower quality article than a unique piece with equivalent other SEO factors." I agree 100%. Google needs to incentivize people for creating real original content. Otherwise, what in God's name will the AI be able to scrape its information from? So if you're gonna be using AI in your SEO strategy, the name of the game is to make it appear human. I told Dave that this was a very good theory. After which, he sarcastically responded with, "If only I was in a group with someone with an engineering background that could build a hypothesis from it and do a (beeps) load of tests and then let me know the reality." Touche, my friend, touche. And that's what I'm up to right now. I'm running single variable tests right now to see how AI content performs against human content in the actual search results.

Simple Way to Make Your First $10 to $100 with Internet Marketing

Hello everybody this is going to be a thread for anybody out there who is struggling to make their first money with internet marketing. This is the exact method i used to make my first money, and am 100% sure it will work for you also. I call this the job method. Everyday millions of Americans are browsing classifieds, Facebook groups, and online message boards in search of ways to make money from home. This method involves you giving them a way to do just that, a job offer E-mail submit.

Step 1: You will need Job offer E-mail submits(people sign up on the site you send them to, and you get paid), i prefer to use Maxbounty media as they always have some offers that pay around $2 per signup.

 Click and singup here: Maxbounty.com

Step 2: I prefer to find an offer taking surveys from home, they convert like a charm, and everybody is willing to sign up for these offers for some reason. I usually get between 10 and 20% conversion rate. On Maxbounty the highest paying offers are usually choice survey group. Step 3: Now the fun part you need to find a place to post your job offers i know i have my favorite and you should be able to find one fairly easy i like to post under the gigs section because it is completely free. Facebook buy sell groups, and now hiring groups also seem to work fairly well.

Your ad Copy should look something like this Survey:

Takers Needed $10-20 Per Survey!! I am looking for some people who would be willing to take surveys online. The pay is between 10 and 20 dollars per survey and they take about ten minutes to complete. You must be willing to be honest, and have a good understanding of the English language.

Step 4: Prepare to be flooded with E-mails and responses. Reply back to them and let them know there are still some spots available on a first come first serve basis and go ahead and send them the link to the offer.

I hope this helps some people to earn their first money online. I know it helped me. Enjoy guys.

Advertising for Free

Advertising for free seems like an impossible thing when heard. But there are several ways by which the cost of advertisement can be conserved, with the help of some imagination and creativity.

A business wanting to advertise, can write articles related to their field of expertise that can be submitted to media and publications having interest in that particular field. The advertising article can have information about the company and dealership opportunity. Due to the rise in Internet users and websites, new websites have sprung up which offer free services. Articles can be written for these websites and they can be broadcasted for free, which will be viewed by hundreds of people everyday.

Once the business has gained some recognition, within no time it will gain popularity also among the crowds. This popularity can lead to them being invited on radio and television talk shows and even to interviews. Such kind of opportunities shouldn’t be missed as they provide a chance for free promotion. If it is taking a long time to get a break, the producer can be addressed with a letter that can be followed up by a telephone call or in-person visit. During the visit, the nature of expertise can be discussed about the business, which will be of interest to the viewers of the particular channel. Once a businessperson gains the status of being public-friendly, more offers start pouring in.

Free bulletin board located in the neighborhood, like in grocery stores, libraries, and salons, are another good idea. Advertising circulars can be posted on such boards for free. Circulars for mass distribution can be handed out at the mall, shopping center, bus stops, particularly on weekends when there is a big rush. Students can be hired on part time basis for this purpose.

Promotional advertisement can be printed on the envelopes used by the business firms. Both the sender and the receiver can view this advertisement. Promotional offers can be sent to customers by postcards, which should be utilized to its full, leaving only place left for writing the address.

Some of the new mail order publications offer free first time and seasonal deductions for advertisers. Other publications offer pay per inquiry space. Inquiries can be made about stand-by space, which means that the publication holds the submission of advertisement until the space is not sold and in that case, thirty three percent saving can be achieved. Usually local newspapers provide these kinds of offers.

If the business is involved in ad sheet or catalog publishing, other publishers can be contacted for the purpose of bartering an advertising exchange. They can place advertisement in their publication, in return for placing their advertisement in the business’s publication.

Free offers can be provided to the customer. This can be done by emailing or printing newsletter about information regarding the area of interest of the targeted customers and can be made popular by using tag lines. Attach a free coupon with it, which the customers can use it for shopping, if a criterion is met like minimum purchase of $ 50. By this the response will be huge and most of them will purchase something or the other to avail the free offer. The basic ingredient for advertising for free is imagination and research. Opportunities should be searched and a strong working force should be applied to increase the sales.
